We are about 3/4 through filming for Hurt, Season 2, and the accolades have already started rolling in! Here’s a quick update on the project and what exactly you can expect. As a reminder, Hurt streams free on YouTube and Sparkk TV!

What happened on ‘Hurt’ last season?

The last season of ‘Hurt’ followed Stone (Craig Selbrede) and Fin (Alvin Edwards III) as they attempted to convince each other not to commit suicide. The season concluded with them agreeing to live, with Fin heading off to rehab for his alcoholism, and Stone, searching for a job. In the special episode released in March, we got a bit of an update on Stone… he found a job, and was introduced to the partying life by the charismatic Griff (Chat Burst).

Elsewhere in Season 1, Bex (April Valentine) managed to make headway with and stick with her dream of acting, and Sara (Julia Watson) and Quill (Kyra Radomsky) learned to give Stone some space as sisters.

Season 1 consisted of 7 episodes and 1 special:

  • 1×01 | “Chapter One: We Are Who We Are” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Gavin Matthew
  • 1×02 | “Chapter Two: What is Right?” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Sonia Forcada
  • 1×03 | “Chapter Three: You Just Kind of Have to Hope” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Gavin Matthew
  • 1×04 | “Chapter Four: It Looks Like Nothing” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Trey Jordan
  • 1×05 | “Chapter Five: Things Happen for a Reason” written by Liam Gilbey & directed by Sonia Forcada
  • 1×06 | “Chapter Six: It Doesn’t Have to End this Way” written by Liam Gilbey & directed by Sonia Forcada, Gavin Matthew
  • 1×07 | “Chapter Seven: The Only Way Out” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Sonia Forcada, Gavin Matthew, Trey Jordan
  • Special | “Chapter Eight: It Doesn’t Have to Make Sense” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Anastaisia Brady

What can you expect from Season 2?

Returning from Season 1 are Stone Scriven (Selbrede), Fin Snell (Edwards III), and Sara Scriven (Watson) joined by Griff from the special (Burst). They are joined by new cast members including Jasmine (Zaydia Gooding), Noa (Danay Hampton), Trevor (Trenor Gould) and Kelly (K.S. Garner).

In Season 2, Stone and Fin reunite, but find they might’ve grown in different directions. As Stone experiments with partying, Fin tries to keep his head down and move forward, even as an unexpected opportunity comes knocking for Stone’s writing and Sara meets an old acquaintance with major ramifications for her worldview.

Season 2 presently consists of 6 episodes, down from the original 8 ordered.

  • 2×01 | “Chapter Nine: Nothing’s How It Used to Be” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Sean DiGiorgio
  • 2×02 | “Chapter Ten: Am I My Brother’s Keeper?” written by Liam Gilbey & directed by Muhammad Okedeyi
  • 2×03 | “Chapter Eleven: Maybe It Can Be Better” written by Olivia Dimond & directed by Lucas Sanchez
  • 2×04 | “Chapter Twelve: This Was Your Whole World” written by Craig Selbrede & directed by Akim Kerimov
  • 2×05 | “Chapter Thirteen: The Damage It Does” written by Olivia Dimond & directed by Sonia Forcada
